A close runner-up to the Penguins is Disney's Phineas and Ferb. It's about two brothers and the crazy things they do over their summer vacation.Image via Wikipedia
My husband and I agree that both of these shows are shows that we're happy for the boys to watch, and, if we HAVE to watch with them, we don't mind. Now that school is starting back up, I'm glad that our "No TV During the Week" policy will go back into effect. However, it's a little sad to me that those familiar penguin voices and Phineas and Ferb tunes won't be a regular (and unending) part of my day anymore. Thank you Nick and Disney for getting us through this first hellaciously (is that a word?) hot summer down south.
What parent couldn't claim the same thing at some point in their kids lives? It'sd been so darn hot here and there have been wildfires that put a lot of smoke in the air, so the TV will have to entertain for awhile.
ReplyDeleteDo you think your little men would like Bill Nye the Science Guy? I really don't mind them watching his shows. My kiddos also love Myth Busters. My son, 14, thinks they're "wicked cool."
They've never seen Bill Nye - I'll check into that. They do love Mythbusters, especially when explosions are involved!
ReplyDeleteI have to admit that I catch your Dad watching Phineas and Ferb when there are no children in the house. That is a good show for the kids - I find myself hoping that Candace will not embarrass herself yet again in front of Jeremy. If AFV (America's Funniest Videos) is on it takes precedence over most anything else.
